Initially, Alice started figure Skating at the age of 4. She then went on to compete and decided to take up dancing with the intention to compliment her lines and technique on the ice. Over time her love for dancing grew and she decided that pursuing a career in the performing industry was the route she wanted to take, therefore began investing all her time in dance training.
Alice completed exams in Ballet, Tap and Jazz at a local dance school before she embarked her professional dance training at the age of 12 with the London Elite Dance Company where she was taught by different West End choreographers each week. She then went on to successfully audition for iD-Company and represented them at events such as Dance Aid and MoveIt.
Alice has been involved in music videos, along with many theatre performances, both on stage and behind the scenes. She has also danced with Kimberly Wyatt from the girl band ‘Pussycat Dolls’ where she gained a scholarship to a training camp in America.
At Sixth Form Alice received a Distinction in her Level 6 Performing Arts (Dance) Diploma. She then went on to train at Italia Conti Academy and developed a greater variety of training in all genres of dance such as Jazz Technique, Ballet (Pointe), Contemporary, Commercial, Horton, Graham, Latin, Tap, Circus Skills, Musical Theatre and Acro.
After this Alice completed a teaching course in Pilates where she obtained a score of 99% in her final exam, with an overall grade of a Distinction.
While now going down the route of teaching, Alice keeps up her own training by taking regular classes at Pineapple and Base Studios in London. She is also attending weekly training at The Manor LDN as a member of the Unapologetic training programme - Company 5.
AcroPAD founders Daniel & Amanda Keating both have an extensive dance & teaching background. Alongside AcroPAD, they have a Performing Arts 6th Form College and a long running dance school with evening and weekend classes.
Amanda has a classical dance background, with her training at Ballet West and The Urdang Academy, where she also teaches.
Daniel's less formal training has allowed him to perform all over Europe & teach at some of the best performing arts schools in the South East.
AcroPAD was born from the pair's passion for teaching technique. Allowing students to explore and develop their skills using airtracks to be a technically rounded performer while massively reducing the risk of injury. We cater for all skills and abilities, whether that be gymnastics, cheerleading, tumbling, tricking or dance.
The aim has been to put the fun into technique and for students to feel the end result they are aiming for when using our air tracks and air floors. This is not about bouncing on an AcroPAD, it’s about taking new skills and technique to the stage!
